Lockhart & District Community Services Inc is a non for profit organisation which commenced in 1986 as Lockhart/Urana Community Transport.
In 1995, we received new funding from the Department Of Health & Ageing for Carer Respite. In 1995 our organisation became incorporated and changed its name to Lockhart & District Community Services Inc (LDCS).

LDCS is a Multi Service Outlet (MSO) and receives its funding under the Home & Community Care (HACC) Program, which is funded jointly by both the Commonwealth and State Governments.

The aim of the program is to support the frail aged (65 & over and 50 years for aboriginal & Torres strait islander) and younger people with moderate to severe disabilities and their carers, to continue living in their own home for as long as possible.
